The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
  • 1.25 Cups microwave popcorn kernels (approx. 10 ounces)
  • 6 regular size Snickers bars, chopped (1.06 ounces each, ie 52.7 grams each)
  • 1 Cup mixed nuts
  • 1 Cup slated pretzel sticks broken into halves or thirds before measured (I purchased a 16 ounce package of Rold Gold brand)
  • 3 ounces Nestle Triple Chip Morsels (white, milk and dark chocolate) or dark morsels. If using triples, separate each
  • 2 Cups light brown sugar
  • 1 Cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1/2 Cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of coarse sea salt

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F
  2. Line a baking pan with parchment or spray with cooking spray
  3. Pop corn
  4. Mix together popped corn, pretzels, and nuts, then store in a closed container about twice as large as contents
  5. Over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup
  6. Bring to a boil then simmer about 5 minutes, whisking constantly
  7. Remove from heat then immediately add vanilla and baking soda. Whisk again
  8. Pour hot liquid mixture in popcorn mix, close, and shake vigorously to mix
  9. Spread coated popcorn mix on baking pan
  10. Sprinkle Snickers pieces over popcorn mix
  11. Bake for 5 minutes
  12. Melt chocolate morsels (separately if using tri-flavor) while popcorn mixture bakes
  13. Remove from oven and drizzle with melted chocolate(s)
  14. Sprinkle with pinch of sea salt
  15. Eat immediately. Store leftovers in airtight container
