High Tea & Holmes

Meetup in the works: SUN, JULY 19, 2pm-ish (tentative)

I'm waiting for theater info from Fandango as to where this will be playing, but I thought it might be fun to go to a place like The Olde Ship in Fullerton for a proper high tea or fish 'n' chips :)

Will update as info becomes available. If this is too short of notice and the movie may be around for a few weeks, I was thinking we could change the date to Sun, Aug 2 ... we shall see

Annual Austentatious Tea (with pre-party picnic at 2:30pm)

It's that time of year again ... time to celebrate the world of gentility's beloved Jane Austen at a tea party inspired by her characters.

This year's theme is Emma, and once again we'll have a nationwide videochat toast with other Siren School Salons celebrating the same even simultaneously.

SUNDAY, SEPT 20
at 3pm PDT

For those in SoCal, we're hosting a meetup at Pamela's Tea Room in Garden Grove

$30 includes an Emma quiz and trivia (...winner gets some of Pamela's famous scones ...) along with afternoon tea.

Plus, we're adding a little something special this year.

While the event officially starts in the tearoom at 3pm, we'll be holding an informal potluck picnic and reading of Emma on the lawn in front of the tea room at 2:30pm. If you'd like to participate in this pre-party, bring:
  • a blanket on which to repose (should the ground not suit you)
  • your own teacup ... the tea room will fill our cups at the start of the picnic
  • something little & nibblable to share ... totally optional
  • a sense of romantic whimsy

Costumes welcome & encouraged! Call Pamela's Tea Room directly to make your reservation at 714-897-9442.

And visit our Facebook event page for updates.
